Mad men barbie dolls
The Mad Men dolls are not for kids. According to The New York Times, they're part of the "premium-price collectors' series" for adults. But there's a problem with the mini Don Draper, Betty Draper, Roger Sterling and Joan Holloway.T"he dolls come with period accessories like hats, overcoats, pearls and padded undergarments, but no cigarettes, ashtrays, martini glasses or cocktail shakers."But, but! The smoking and the drinking is the best part! Okay, not the best part. The best part is when Don Draper makes a speech about a slide projector and you find yourself tearing up. But the smoking and drinking are integral. They're part of the fantasy, the retro-cinematic quality, and help create an authentic '60s atmosphere. Maybe these vices don't jibe with Barbie's wholesome brand, but since my Barbies often had scissor sex in the bathtub, I don't exactly think of them as symbols of...
PS3 current and upcoming games
Hi people. I own a PS3 and currently have 3 games, Little Big Planet, Tony Hawk Ride (I didn't buy this) and NBA2k10. I am planning to buy a new game, most preferably a shooting game. What would you suggest? I don't really like sandbox games like GTA and I won't buy COD, not that I don't like it, just...don't want to haha. My parents are also strict and won't allow me to buy games like Assassin's Creed and Left For Dead 2.I would like to buy the games that will be coming out. I think that the best new game or upcoming game will probably be Heavy Rain, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and God of War 3. Final fantasy just isn't my thing...turn based, kinda slow paced and boring for me. Another possible game for me to buy is Just Cause 2.What do you guys think? Is Battlefield worth the hype? Is Just Cause 2 good enough? Does it even have online multiplayer?I would appreciate your help and...
Have you been playing video games lately? Have you seen Dante's Inferno?
It's been a long time since I last played console games. Probably like around a year or so. I used to enjoy playing PS2 when I was younger, and I got hooked to games like Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, and Grand Theft Auto. Yes, not entirely girly games, but playing video games is a good way to pass time and put ourselves in an entirely different world. Now I'm back to playing and I've landed upon this game, Dante's Inferno. I loved the book by Dante Alighieri, so now I'm trying this game which is supposed to be like the classic most of us have read. The animation is good, and I like how they portrayed those mythical and classical figures in the game. Very good depiction but somehow the revised story line just doesn't work for me.Anyway, how about you, have you played video games lately? I don't have class anymore so I'm free to slack off and play games again. Any video games that...
Nine-A Sublimal Broadway Movie
One of the more recent Broadway musicals to come to the big screen,Nine tells the story of Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis), a world famous film director in a mid-term crisis with both creative and personal problems. He must balance the many women of his life. (Believe me, its a who's who from all ages), They include a fabulous cast of his wife Marion Cotillard as his wife, Luisa, Penelope Cruz as his mistress, Nicole Kidman as his film star muse, Judi Dench, his confidant and costume designer, Kate Hudsonan American fashion journalist, Fergie as the w.h.o.r.e from his youth and Sophia Loren, his mother .Melodramatic and oftentimes dark, it documents the crises that Guido went through to come to terms with his love and his life. His song that he needed another 'himself' to take care of all the conflicting interests in his life is extremely poignant. This film is Rob...
I can't believe Best Picture and Best Director went to the Hurt Locker?
James Cameron could easily have made the Hurt Locker but better. Could Kathryn Bigelow have made a ground breaking movie like Avatar? No way. The judges for these awards are biased towards traditional, non-fantasy movies. They were biased against the Lord of the Rings for the first two, but were finally forced to recognize its greatness for the third one, even though the first two completely blew away ALL competition. I do think The Hurt Locker was a good movie. But it was just another typical war movie. Avatar took us into a different world. You decide. Another war movie, or an entirely different world?Avatar is a far superior film than The Hurt Locker. Judges and critics have no imagination or dreams, they are bland and boring. Never let a Best Picture on the outside of a DVD convince you to rent it, the people who awarded it don't see the world the same as you.
when sachin should take his retirement??what will be your suggestion?????????
It is fantasy to say 'Whenever he wants to retire that is the best time for his retirement'.I think everyone should have to take retirement in right time. This is applicable for sachin also.My suggestion is after the 2011 world cup he should take his retirement because till then many of our younger players will improve a lot & will reach their peak form.as well as we should provide rest to him who gave the prime time of his life to cricket, so that he can spend his remaining life with pleasure & dignity .I think it is our duty to provide him rest. But as a cricket lover I must say that I don't want to give him rest, want to see him play till my death.thanks
Best Picture award is least predictable of tonight's gongs
Could this be the year for boldly going where no Oscar has gone before? On a night of potential firsts, James Cameron's Avatar has a shot at breaking one of Hollywood's longest-standing taboos and becoming the first science-fiction film to win Best Picture. The 3D blockbuster, which, with box-office receipts of $2.5bn (£1.7bn), is easily the most lucrative film ever made, is gaining late ground on The Hurt Locker and is now 11/8 second avourite to walk away with tonight's biggest prize. That would represent a victory for a genre which has for years been one of Hollywood's most reliable cash cows but has been prevented perhaps for reasons of artistic snobbery, from winning a fair share of awards. Only three sci-fi movies have even been nominated for Best Picture – ET, Star Wars and A Clockwork Orange – and all were pipped by unfancied rivals. But attitudes could be changing:The Lord of...
Pulled into the story
I am an author, in fact, the author of a small known fantasy novel called The Warriors: The Beginning, which I had self-published in an effort to satisfy curiosity to see what it would be like. I am now on my second upcoming novel which will be submitted traditionally. Right now, I am pulled into the tension of the novel, unable to stop myself from the destructive scenes which sends people and animals fleeing, the grounds blowing open, buildings crumbling to the ground while above in the skies, raging mythological beasts wage war, the very nature of their battle causing the mayhem far below them with bloodshed and death evident at every turn.I must admit, I am pulled into this, as I have never written anything like this, and literally it has pulled me into its clutches. Now, have any of you writers ever felt this way when you write particular scenes? What about those of you who...
Do you like Zombies?? What monster scares you?
The question is simple, do you like them or not, if so why? We are talking here about fantasy, scary (for someone) monsters... is there any in particular that scared you or that maybe you like... vampires, zombies, ghosts, frankstein, IT.. Hannibal Lecter... there are many around, tell me which ones you like and which one you hate.
A fiction or a non-fiction? ... What suits you better?
Hi dear friends, There are two main categories of literature that we read everyday. The fiction, basically a story, an imitation of life, may be real or may be fantasy, but it is necessary to have some impersonators in a fiction. A fiction involves you greatly into itself. You may often think as the author wants you to think. The impersonator who you are having characteristic similarities with may even influence your lifestyle to a great extent. In literature there always has to be a message, a certain conclusion or achievement. This achievement is often not explicit in fictions. It is perhaps this subtle connotations that makes it more permanent, more graspable. There is this other class of non-fictions which are more like collection of facts. They flood you with concrete information, views often quite straight, and transparent. Nothing remains hidden in a non-fiction because it never...
If every user respond you...........................................
It is impossible like we can't meet every person in the world. But it is fantasy. We meet people but we can't meet every people. Just think if we try to me each and every individual. How herculean work is this? Like that just imagine.............If every member of mylot respond to your discussion, can you comment all those. I imagine a discussion where each and every member respond.
sex fantasy
I never really had a sex fantasy before but for some reason I keep having this daydream fantasy where I am taken by a stranger. It's really exciting like I wish it would really happen. The guy is no one in particular although I recently connected on Facebook with a guy I met when I was a teenager and I've started to think about him during the daydream. What are your sex fantasies?
Would you like to live in a world of fantasy?
For some people, like me, the world is not enough. There is always something more that I like but they can only be real in my imagination. I think its called fantasy. I always wanted to be a ninja or a mythical character like god but that's just me and that is why its a fantasy because it is my idea. Maybe it came from watching too much cartoons when I was a kid, I'm not sure where it came from but still, I would enjoy it if it became real. Do you have fantasies? Do you care about other people's fantasies?
If you had three wishes, what would you wish for?
If you were granted three wishes, what would you wish for? I would wish for an unlimited supply of money, good health, and an unlimited supply of wishes!
Damn Science Fiction
Science fiction novels gives me the fantasy of space travel, I want to see those stars and the plants rotating around them. They make me want to walk the moon or try to figure out if there is life in Planet Mars. I wanted to be a Spaceman as a kid. Looking at the stars reminds me of those childhood fantasies. There is a certain point in my life where I wanted to be an astronaut but I know its not gonna happen, I'm not good in Mathematics, and being good in Math is an element needed to be a scientist and engineer and Pilot. So yeah I'll never be an Astronaut, Because I'm not good in Math and I have learning disorders.Another thing, we dont have the technology yet to have the Space exploration comparable to science fiction novels, It something we wont witness in our lifetime. Once I have kids I wont let them watch and read Science fiction stuff on their early childhood. I dont want...

Getting Sucked Into The Fantasy
I absolutely love love love to read. My favorite genre would have to be fiction, though I'll read just about anyhthing that can capture my interest. I noticed recently that when i read Stephenie Meyers books, or Alyson Noel (especially) I get sucked into the fantasy world. I can't help but feel that I'm right there watching everything unfold as if it were real life. I actually stayed up an entire 24 hour period and read Alyson Noels'*Blue Moon*. I just got so entranced with every tiny detail i couldn't bear to tear myself away. Does anyone else ever get so into what theyre reading that theyre almost sadend to see the last page of the book? If so I'd love to hear some good authors and reads. Pease and Thank You.

What is your fantasy partner like?
By fantasy I mean something that can only exist in your mind, there is no possibility of becoming reality? Why did I ask this? Because I'm a very curious person who like playing mind games. I'm just gathering ideas for my artwork this coming semester. I'm thinking of a bust sculpture.
